PROMPT: Design a zero-impact dining table using reclaimed redwood decking that was headed to landfill.
CONSTRUCTION: Dovetail stretchers, pass-through legs, & structural pegs for table top. No glue or sealer.
ZERO IMPACT: Redwood is a naturally water-resistant wood; therefore, no sealer was needed to make this table suitable for the outdoors. To avoid wood glue, I used dovetail joints (the strongest joint) to construct the base. Zero chemicals will return to the environment as this table eventually decomposes.
